Last fall, Peter Rajesh Joachim asked me to create pipe-organ music for his first film, Blood Empires. He also told me he needed it soon: less than a month! Scheduling given, only two 3-hr sessions at the church were possible, on two consecutive nights, just before the deadline. These five cuts were the result. They are live organ improvisations, some less prepared than others. It's a simple 2-track stereo recording. Each piece is a complete performance, no edits, just EQ. I was pretty happy with the results.
The film premiers in Toronto next week, Feb. 6, 2014. I highly recommend it.
Stay tuned, as I am working out electronic elaborations of these pieces, and will publish a full album of those in the near future.
